I guess Lucky Sixpence started back in 2010 when I made my very own bespoke headband as I couldn’t find what I wanted in the shops. Several years later I decided to offer the same opportunity to other brides to be.

Our bespoke service allows you to have a beautiful hair accessory or piece of jewellery made especially to suit your style, theme and budget.

I have met many brides who know exactly what they want but on the other hand I have met far more who say to me ‘I don’t really know what to have in my hair’.

For those brides who are not so sure what to go for I take inspiration from your dress, the overall styling of your big day and what is important to you about your wedding  (I have received photos of patterns on shoes before and managed to incorporate it!). If possible we can meet somewhere to suit you and you can try on our range of ready to buy items and narrow down what you would like to the smallest detail like the finish on the crystals or diamantes. I would go away, find materials, create possible lay outs and send you photos. After discussing with you what you like we will then start constructing your unique piece!

For those brides who know what they would like I will source the materials to make it and send photos of work in progress so that you can be fully involved in how your finished piece looks.

Alternatively if you have a cherished item of jewellery that you would like to have included in your wedding but may not necessarily want to wear it as it is, we can use it to create something new that can be worn on your big day.

As part of the bespoke service we can make items for bridesmaids and flower girls. These items tend not to include a vintage element so that multiple items can be made. I take inspiration from your hair accessory and try to tie the bridesmaid pieces into the overall look either by shape, theme or type of stones / crystals.

Likewise our bespoke service can be used to create items for wedding guests, mothers of the bride and for any formal occasion.
